I am currently an assistant principal. I was a former high school English teacher in Pitt and Edgecombe County. Most of my experience was spent teaching 12th grade English, and part of my responsibility was to prepare my students for the SAT/ACT. I was a teacher for six years and stayed after school to tutor multiple students. I have taught 7th-12th grade and a college course during my 6 years of teaching, and I have also tutored freshmen and sophomores in college. I have a Bachelor's degree in English and History, and I have two Master's degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and School Administration.

I have a passion for working with young people to pursue their dreams and succeed in life. I spend a lot of time tutoring students and working with teachers to create a plan for student success. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and writing. I also enjoy traveling and exploring places that I have studied. I have participated in mission trips to help with camps, orphanages, and building schools/homes.
